BOŠKINAC WINES

Wine made from tradition and passion

The family tradition of wine production has continued in the winery. We currently offer the following wines:

Gegić

Gegić is a dry white wine produced from the variety of the same name. In this variation, this is a gentle, aperitif wine with light floral and mineral aromas and a moderate alcohol content.

Recommendations for food pairing

We would best recommend this wine in the first aperitif part of the menu in which lighter dishes are served, such as raw fish delicacies. However, in our opinion, Gegić is best paired with classic white fishes served grilled, i.e. dishes with slightly smoky notes and succulence are exceptionally well enhanced by our Gegić, without any pretention.

Boškinac white

 Boškinac white consist of chardonnay, gegić and sauvignon. It is a white wine with fruity aromas.


 

Recommendations for food pairing


Excellent with white fish grilled or cooked. Goes well with scampi risotto and fish stew also.

OCU

“This wine is dedicated to my father, and to all the Boškinac ancestors,” commented Boris Šuljić Boškinac. This dry white wine is a coupage of several indigenous white varieties. Archaically stylistic, it is produced through spontaneous fermentation and maceration.

Recommendations for food pairing

This wine is recommended with fish stews, mighty risottos, and is also an excellent accompaniment to grilled oily fishes.

Boškinčić

Boškinčić 2014 is red wine a younger, elegent brother of our famous Boškinac and it's a blend of merlot and cabernet sauvignon.

Recommendations for food pairing

Our Boškinčić is a good accompaniment to a plate of  veal stake or tuna steak, grilled squid, and also complements dishes such as  lamb.

Boškinac Cuvee

This is our best known wine and the pride of our cellar, which is produced from the international varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which are exceptionally well suited by our terroir, which strongly determines their character. The wine is aged for two years in oak barrels and has a strong and full flavour and an exceptionally dark colour, with wonderful aromas of berries and secondary mineral tones.

Recommendations for food pairing

An excellent accompaniment with mature Pag lamb, all types of steak, and aged Pag cheeses.

Rosé

ROSE 2014 is made from merlot. It is a fresh, fruity, elegant wine ideal for summer.

Recommendations for food pairing


Superbly paired with beef Carpaccio, seafood pasta or calamari “brudet”.

Prošek dessert wine

A sweet wine produced from the Merlot grape. This wine has a gentle caramel note and the aroma of vineyard peaches, citrus, Pag sage and rosemary.

Recommendations for food pairing

We recommend it with strong and richly flavoured desserts, particularly those of chocolate, and those containing walnuts and almonds. It also is a good accompaniment to desserts with a hint of sage and rosemary flavours.
